GOODWOOD REVIAL 16-18 SEPTEMBER 2011

The Goodwood Revival is a festival held every September for cars and motorcycles that would have competed during the circuit's original period. It is one of the world’s most popular motor race events which recreates the golden era of motor sport from the 1940s to 1960s. The festival is a showcase for exceptional cars racing around a classic circuit.

I was invited by the Earl of March and his team to take part in the ‘Ford of Britain Centenary’ celebration at this years Goodwood Revival 16-18 September 2011. My car took part in a special display and a series of track parades illustrating the huge variety of British built Ford vehicles produced between 1911 and 1970. There was just one hundred vehicles taking part, one for each year of the hundred. Obviously I’m very proud and honored to have had this opportunity to take part in such a prestigious event that Goodwood is.

This event attracts tens of thousands of people over the weekend, many dressing in period dress of the 1940s to 1960s. As my car was originally built for Keith Jagger the managing director of his company, Car Preservation Ltd in London, its only fitting that I went dressed suited and booted just as he would have been in 1969?

I was supported by GP Motorhomes of Gloucester, the county’s leading bespoke coach build motorhome company. They design and build high quality luxury motorhomes incorporating the latest technology.
